  • You must be a member in good standing of the Ball Strikers.
  • You must correctly identify both the song title and artist.
  • You must be the first to email the correct title and artist and your name to webmaster@njballstrikers.com (first will be determined by date/time of email). Make the subject of the email "Name That Tune". You will be notified by return email if you are the winner (or not). Only one submission per day please.
  • Check this webpage for the status of the contest. After a winner is announced a new contest will start with a new tune.

    No one successfully named the tune "Siempre Hay Esperanza" by the pop/jazz icon Sade (from her Stronger Than Pride CD). That tune was played from 3/30/2011 to 4/25/2011 and was retired undefeated.

    No one successfully named the tune "Self Portrait" by jazz great Chuck Mangione (from his LP of the same name). That tune was played from 4/25/2011 to 5/30/2011 and was retired undefeated.

    No one successfully named the tune "A Shade Of Blue" by The Crusaders (aka Jazz Crusaders). That tune was played from 7/8/2011 to 8/28/2011 and was retired undefeated. Good luck with the current tune!

    No one successfully named the tune "I Ain't Jivin', I'm Jamin'" by Leon Huff. That tune was played from 8/28/2011 to 12/25/2011 and was retired undefeated.

    No one successfully named the ever popular Christmas tune "Sleigh Ride" by jazz pianist Ramsey Lewis. That tune was played from 12/25/2011 to 1/12/2012 and was retired undefeated.

    No one successfully named the Donald Byrd tune "Lansanas Preistess" from his Street Lady album. That tune was played from 1/12/2012 to 4/8/2012 and was retired undefeated.

    No one successfully named the Dennis Coffey tune "Scorpio", one of the first hits of the early 70's disco era. That tune was played from 4/8/2012 to 7/2/2012 and was retired undefeated.

    No one successfully named the tune "Soul Woman", by fellow Ball Striker Grassella Oliphant from his The Grass Is Greener CD.That tune was played from 7/2/2012 to 1/26/2013 and was retired undefeated.
